Hello Friends!
You may already know I am a mother to two young kids. My son is 3 years old, and my daughter is 14 months. One of the toughest parts of being a mom and a jewelry designer is that I rarely put any jewelry on! It is always being tugged on, chewed on or just abused.
Since I am actively trying to market my jewelry, I have to find ways to wear it. When I say I am a jewelry designer the first thing people do is look at what I am wearing. Unfortunately, it isn’t always a great representation of my jewelry line.
So I have found some pieces that I can wear that can take the abuse and still make me look slightly fashionable. Hint: It’s not earrings!
1. A Wrap Bracelet – These are very trendy right now. They come in different colors and can wrap around your wrist either 2 or 3 times. Click here to see some examples.
2. Statement Ring – A large ring that can be worn on the index, middle or ring fingers. I recently just made my first one, and I totally love it! Plus, it is quite a steal for only $10.
3. A Long Rope Necklace – It needs to be durable and not a light, delicate one. One that you won’t mind them chewing on and something you can slip off easily one handed! Click here to see some examples.
Now I don’t recommend wearing them at the same time, because they are all statement pieces and will compete. Plus you have got to spread the wealth, right?
So what advice or suggestions do you have for Mommy Friendly Jewelry? Please share in the comments below.

Haha, love the tip not to wear hanging earrings when you have little ones around! I love the idea of a beautiful ring, that should definitely work!
Thanks Delia, I wore earrings the other day to test my theory and my 14 month old daughter went straight for them!
