Pink Amethyst is not really pink, it is more of a lavender or violet color. Amethyst is a variety of quartz which is naturally clear. The stones gain the purple color by absorbing iron and gamma rays. Since amethysts derive their color from outside sources, this is why there are so many variations.
I found this lovely strand of pink amethyst at a gem fair a few months ago, and I wanted to show you a few creations I have already put together.
They are up for sale in my online store, just click on the images to learn more about each individual piece.
