I don’t pretend to be a fashionista or an expert on the subject. I have been either pregnant, postpartum or nursing for the past 4 years!! Because of this I have been out of the fashion world and now I am trying to reclaim my self image or style. I want to be a hip, put-together looking mom and not the frazzled, frumpy one I have been. We also just bought a house with a walk in closet and my husband has more clothes than I do! So I am on a mission to find good fashion that is classic and fits my body.
Here is what I have found to be 10 great closet staples that will have staying power in your wardrobe:
1. Striped tee
2. Chambray shirt
3. White pants
4. Knee high boots: cognac, black or a colorful pair
5. Bright carryall purse
7. Metallic shirt (who doesn’t like the bling!)
8. Black patent leather pumps
9. Tailored blazer
10. Pencil skirt (many colors if you like!)
I still need to purchase a few of these myself, but when I do, I will be doing outfit posts showing you how to accessorize!
Do you have some items you think I forgot? Please leave a comment below and let me know!!
Thanks for stopping by!
What a flexible list! I can see how these pieces mix and match for a variety of outfits. However, I simply can’t have white pants. Whenever I’ve tried white pants or skirts, they’ve instantly attracted stains. I’m too sloppy I guess.
Yeah, white pants are definitely tough! I wear it only to the event I was planning and take them off immediately when I get home. Thank you so much for your comment!
