Here are the answers to some Frequently Asked Questions
What materials do you use?
The majority of the jewelry is made with pearls, crystals, and semi-precious stones. Depending on the desires of the bride, I will use precious metals (sterling silver or gold) or plated metals.
How much does custom bridal jewelry cost?
This question is impossible to answer without first knowing what you need to have created. This is why the process starts with a consultation. Since my custom jewelry is no more expensive than the items in my fashion jewelry line, if you really want to get an idea of cost, you can check out my online shop. Please keep in mind though that every piece is different, and at the consultation we can discuss ways to modify costs to fit within your budget.
How long before my wedding should I set up the consultation?
The one requirement before setting up the consultation is that you have the dress(es) ordered that we will be complementing. I like to deliver the jewelry 6 – 8 weeks prior to the wedding date so that there is time for alterations and I am not one of the vendors you are dealing with at the last minute. So ideally the consultation would be at least 5 months prior to the wedding, but I can work with a shorter time frame if necessary.
If I end up canceling the order, is the deposit refundable?
Unfortunately, no. I start ordering all of the materials immediately, so I can’t refund the deposit. However, it can be used as a credit towards other jewelry purchases, so you are not just out the money.
What types of products do you make?
In addition to necklaces, bracelets and earrings, I also make tiaras, hair accessories and wire-wrapped rings. I can customize tie tacks and cuff links for the groomsmen. I have even made a barefoot sandal for a bride getting married on the beach. Want something else? Shoot me an email and I’ll let you know if it is possible.
