You found the perfect gown!! Now what? Most brides wait way too long to plan the details of the wedding, especially their jewelry.

Think about this . . . you just spent a bunch of money, more that you probably ever have or will for a dress. But then you forget about the details that make up the look of one of the biggest days of your life.

I am not trying to freak you out, actually just the opposite. I want to let you know about what I can do to help you.

Handmade Bridal Jewelry

1. Advice on what will work with your dress

Many times brides leave the jewelry to the last minute because they are not sure of what they want or what is going to look the best.

During our consultation I take a look at your dress (pictures only) and identify what style jewelry will accent the dress perfectly. We look at the neckline, style of the dress, material, and beading details to determine the best combination of jewelry to finish your bridal look.

2. Get something unique for your big day that is your style

There is a lot of advice out there telling you what you should wear on your wedding day: magazines, blogs, the fashion industry. However, I am here to make sure you get what you feel comfortable in and that it is an expression of you!

I listen to you about your style and what vision you have of your day, and then I try to bring it to life. What could be better than something personalized for you for such a special day?!

3. Create an heirloom of your very own

Some brides have heirlooms they get to wear, maybe you have a necklace or a bracelet. What about creating a piece of your own that you can then pass down?

4. Get your bridesmaids, flower girl, mother and groomsmen gifts all in one place

Wedding planning could be the most stressful thing we do as women (except for parenting, that is). I try to alleviate at least one aspect of that by not only making your accessories, but providing you a way to check off the gifts for your bridesmaids, flower girl and mothers.

And yes I did say Groomsmen. I offer cuff links and ties clips if that fits with your vision.

5. Everything packaged up beautifully, ready to give!

Another way I save you time is having all your gifts packed up beautifully with each girl’s name and a poem based on their title (bridesmaid, mom…etc).

6. Different jewelry pieces for different bridesmaid dress styles

A popular trend for bridesmaids are to have them choose different style dresses. I love this trend… it shows you care about their comfort and beauty on your wedding day.

This is one of the best reason why custom jewelry is so helpful! I can design separate pieces of jewelry based on the necklines of the dresses they choose. We design each piece using the same materials so you get a cohesive look and they get individually tailored jewelry just for them.

Can you say, best gift ever?! Well maybe not, but what a wonderful way to say thank you to those special girls in your life.

7. Support a local business

This may not have much to do with your wedding. However, your dollars spent on custom jewelry with me go straight back into our community. It helps me pay for soccer, dance lessons, art supplies and books for my kids. Thank you for your support!

8. Flexibility and variety of materials to stay within your budget

Because it is custom we start from the beginning, designing and reworking until it is exactly what you want. Sterling silver or  14kt gold not be in the budget? That’s okay! We can use a plated metal. It is all flexible based on what you are looking for.

No matter what you choose, I use good quality materials to make sure you have a great piece of jewelry for your day!

9. Get all your accessories to work together: jewelry, hair, bridal belts, shoe clips

I take into account all the items you have already purchased and tailor the designs to work together. If you don’t have anything yet, then we get to design it all together.

No matter what, it is SO MUCH FUN!

OH I have a Bonus Tip for you!

10. Something special to wear again for every anniversary

I tell all my brides to wear their jewelry again for every anniversary. You rarely wear that gown out in public again (I said nothing about vacuuming!), but you can wear the jewelry again.

Put it on and say to your husband, “I wore this when I married you!”

Now is the time to start planning the details. Contact me today. Let’s work together and make the jewelry the easy part!
